BOARD of DIRECTORS MEETING
January 16, 2025
Call to order and Attendance
Meeting was held at the Clubhouse and called to order at 9:00AM. Present: Bill Neal, Chuck Koons, Susan George, Sandi Pierce, Doreen Van Buren. No Observers
Member Open Forum – No discussion
- Approval of Minutes – Chuck moved to waive the reading of the minutes from 12/12/24. Sandi seconded, all in favor and motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS
- Retaliation – Concerns being dealt with through lawyer
- Past Events
- December and January Dinner Parties went well
- BUNCO and Left-Right-Center continue. There were 21 people at the last L-R-C
- Annual Club Sign-up went OK. Some comments were shared about folks being told not to join the HOA
- Next Board meeting will be on 1/9
- The memorial for Rich Zwack was nice with around 40 people attending
- Upcoming Events
- Sandi is still trying to get a Friday or Sunday evening in February for a dinner. Chuck & Lynne will do the one in March
- Sandi won’t be here for the end of February Game Night. She’ll ask Vivian to cover
- Our Annual General Meeting will be on 2/6/25. We aren’t aware of anyone wanting to run for office. All current Board Members are willing to continue.
- Old Business
- GoFundMe page – Bill is still working on it.
- Wynne Properties and maintenance of the park – There are lights out all over the park. Bill plans to do a park-wide sweep to look at lights and other issues
- Car Wash Fundraiser – Doreen and Jaime will take over the project. Suggestion was made to sell them for $15 if 5 or more tickets are purchased. We started with 100 tickets and need to sell 55 to break even. Need to get an accurate count from Jaime and Sandi of how many have been sold so far. Ernie had checked about voucher users getting a discount on inside cleaning but Tommy’s said no. To double check if the cost of adding it on is $10. Susan still needs to add the vendor’s website to the advertising and so a poster for a sandwich board.
- Block Captains – We still need someone to take over recruiting and organizing the program. Bill will send us a list of current volunteers. Discussed doubling up for now. Discuss again at next general members meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
- Form 990-PF – Would be due May 15th, but Bill thinks we may not have to do it. We need to check on IRS requirements for tax filings for 501C-3 entities. Bill will send us information he has.
- Susan shared that the annual state filing is coming due. It’s around $70.
- Susan shared that the Grille hours will be changing to 11:30 – 1.
- The Pool Party will be on 3/16. Sandi will be getting a committee together for it. It will be picnic style food. We need the park to get canopies. Our community used to have 6 canopies for resident use. Bill will discuss this with Patti.
